Applicant Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 19 years of age.
  • Must have at least two (2) subjects Math and English or;
  • Possess a high school diploma or the equivalent and provide us with a copy.
  • Must be able to pass our pre-employment screening process including an in-depth criminal background investigation.
  • Be mature in demeanor, personality, and attitude.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written,
  • Have a stable work history.
  • Maintain an impeccable image and adhere to our professional grooming standards.
  • Possess strong customer service and public relations skills, and be able to interact well with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Must maintain a working telephone at all times for us to contact you.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must be able to withstand potentially inclement weather and stand or walk for extended periods depending on the post-assignment.
  • Must have a valid Police certificate of character and a clean Police record for at least two years.
  • Must have a valid Security License or be willing to apply for one.
  • Must have a 40-hour training certificate or complete within 30 days of employment
  • Armed Officers: 60-hour training, a valid firearm license from the Barbados Police Force, own weapon and equipment, and apply for the Firearm Authorization License from the Defense and Security Department of Barbados.
